We wish to inform you that Decree-Law No. 61 of June 1, 2023, titled ‘Urgent Measures to Address the Emergency Caused by Flood Events Occurring Since May 1, 2023,’ under Article 11, provides for the suspension of mortgage and loan payments, including agricultural credit operations and ordinary credit, without penalties or interest, for companies and businesses that had their operational headquarters in the territories listed in Annex 1 of the decree-law as of May 1, 2023. This suspension will be in effect from May 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023.
Solution Bank adheres to the measures outlined in the Decree, specifying that the suspension of payments will be applied in accordance with the conditions set forth during the Decree’s conversion into law. Clients who wish to decline the suspension must notify the Bank in writing through their respective branch. In such cases, Solution Bank will resume charging the payments according to the original amortization schedule.
Finally, please note that the flood events affecting businesses are considered a force majeure under Article 1218 of the Civil Code, also concerning the application of banking regulations and the banks’ reporting to the Central Credit Register.
